Shocks

The hardest working part of any vehicle – and often times the most overshadowed – are the shocks. Shocks affect the overall performance of the vehicle and can affect more than just how smooth your car rides. Shocks also take care of dampening the coil springs action while also soaking up the initial strain of the “bump.”
It is also important to have your shocks regularly maintained and if it’s time to change them out then why not opt for a set of high-performance shocks from either Bilstein shocks or KYB shocks. Bilstein Shocks have gained acclaim for manufacturing an extensive line of gas performance struts for most automotive applications and on the flip side other brands such as KYB shocks maintain a similar and very stellar reputation for building components built to take a beating while also withstanding heat – one of the major detriments to performance and longevity of any shock.
Ask one of ISG's experts to help guide you through the shock buying process and we can show you the difference between high-performance and conventional shocks. For example, many people don’t know that Bilstein shock are precision formed whereas conventional shocks are made with shock bodies cut from steel tubing. The difference? The Bilstein’s will provide superior strength and the paint finish alone is durable enough to stand a 240-hour salt spray test - and the same finishing process used for medical tools and instruments.
On top of just having an attractive package, the patented nitrogen chamber and “floating” dividing piston virtually eliminates the possibility of all “foaming” thus insuring no performance and dampening loss. So with so much to know and to
decipher it’s best to ask questions to make sure that you’re getting exactly what you need. At ISG customer service comes along with ability to serve you, so give us a call and one of our trained experts will be glad to assist.
