2009 Dodge Challenger - Wide Body

If you're a fan of the new Dodge Challenger or Charger then you're probably already familiar with the handiwork of Topo - aka Top Flight Topo. For the past two years Topo's custom "all metal" wide body flares has created a cult following of patrons which continually grows and if you're looking to get your vehicle done then you'll have to wait in line. At last year's SEMA Show, he had three of his custom wide body Dodge Challengers on display and he's played an integral role in the return of widebody vehicles. In addition to sparking a new revolution of mods, he's also stimulated a new look which is very fitting for both the Charger and the Challenger. His custom all metal fender flares are elegant, aggressive and above everything else the body lines are continuous, smooth and vehicle appropriate. And whereas other companies have gone on to create gaudy and obtrusive looking vehicles, all of Topo's creations are extreme yet understated, loud but silently effective.
Based out of Los Angeles, CA, Topo has become known as a metal craftsman with a precise eye for detail and to say that his work is great would be an understatement. Since the release of the Dodge Charger, Topo has been creating custom wide body vehicles which have dominated the show circuit and his work has been blistered in publications all throughout the world including Heavy Hitters Magazine and DUB just to mention a few.

We caught up with Topo to check out his latest creation - a matte black wide body Dodge Challenger- and once it's complete it's destined to make its mark in the history books as the world's fasted Dodge Challenger. Still in its infancy stage, the vehicle was first dropped off to Topo for a custom wide body treatment to both the front and rear fenders and the look is outstanding and flat out ominous. Out back, the rear fender have been smoothly pulled out an extra 3.5-inches thus allowing the vehicle to sport a beefy set of 335/30/20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires mated to a wide set of 20x14 AF128 Asanti Wheels. Up front, the metal fender flares were banged out and reformed to come out an extra two and a half inches and underneath you'll find a set of 285/30/20 Michelin Pilot Sports bolted up to a set of 20x10's.
But if you're thinking that this car is all show and no go then think again because the 14-inch wide pavement kickers will be used to transfer the power from a huge 8.0L Supercharged Hemi which is currently being built. There was absolutely no expense spared during the build-up of this vehicle and ISG will be sure to keep you posted on any and all progress of not only this specific vehicle but also Topo's latest creations. Stay tune for much, much more.
